Nyatoh

Nyatoh is a light hardwood with a density of 400-1,075 kg/m3 air dry. It is considered to be a moderate to high durability wood. The texture is moderately fine with shallowly interlocked grain. Nyatoh is among the most popular tropical timbers for solid doors, windows and door/window frames. Mahaas offers custom built Nyatoh doors and frames.

Balau

Balau is a Heavy Hardwood with a density of 850-1,155 kg/m3 air dry. It is a relatively durable timber with a fine and even deeply interlocked grain. Due to its durability and strength, it is a popular choice of timber for solid doors, windows, door/window frames. Mahaas offers custom built Balau doors and frames.

Kapur

Kapur is a Medium Hardwood with a density of 580-820 kg/m3 air dry. It is a relatively durable timber with a texture that is moderately coarse with straight or shallow interlocked grain. It is a commonly used timber for doors, windows and frames. Mahaas offers custom built Kapur doors and frames.

Changal

The Standard Malaysian Name for the timber of Neobalanocarpus heimii (Dipterocarpaceae). Vernacular names applied include penak (Peninsular Malaysia). The name chengal is so popular, that many other species have been given vernacular names bearing the name chengal. Neobalanocarpus is a monotypic genus. The sapwood is light yellow and sharply defined from the heartwood, which is light yellow-brown with a distinct green tinge, darkening on exposure to dark purple-brown or rust-red.
